ABSTRACT
Since the born of internet communication, the traditional mass communication
and the interpersonal communication mode were affected by the wave of reformation.
The communication process which striped centralization off was gradually unfolded
and innovated. From BBS, blog, till the currently welcomed microblog, the boundary
between communicator and audience is getting blur, which is not as clear as it was .
Making a general survey of the history of internet communication, it is easy to
find out it’s also the development process of fragmentation. With the maturity of self
media, the way of macroscopical narrating no longer suits for the fast tempo of
communication. The information is spread in a form of fragment with a faster speed,
which build the interactive personal relationship based on the exchange of
information.
The key point of this research is how dose the mode of fragmentation
communication, represented by weibo, impact the audience, the interpersonal
relationship, the pattern of communication, and the blossom future of fragmentation
communication. Staring from the traditional communication theory, by means of
analyzing the audience and communication mode, substituting the relative sociology
theory, this research digs out all kinds of advantage and disadvantage of fragmentation
communication during weibo times, and explains the cause and effect of
fragmentation communication.
Besides using the theory, this paper also proceed from the reality, to prove the
theory explanation by studying the applied research and case study through sina weibo.
It turns out weibo, as the typical representative of fragmentation communication,
already become the ideal mode, and play an important role during information
spreading and interactivity of interpersonal relationship, at the same time, it also has
some potential impacts on mass communication.
Testified by a good deal of classic theory, fragmentation communication fit the
development of productivity, according with the need of audience. Sina weibo takes
the leading role in the development of fragmentation communication. Through this
research, it is perfectly to find out that sina weibo built a fragmentation
communication platform which appealing to Chinese audience, by copying the mode
of twitter, and adjusting according to the Chinese reality. In and all, sina weibo is
doing a great job to contribute to the information spreading and fairness of
communication.
The reason sina weibo is so popular owing to the accurate seizure of user’s need,
all kinds of function improvement and exploring, which push the development of
fragmentation communication. As a platform of exchanging information, sina weibo
provide a nice user experience , abundant functional setting make it a public space by
some means, which change the audience’s communication idea, and also make the
fragmentation communication a irreversible trend.
